SHREDDING EVENT SUCCESSFUL

SECCRA’s first ever “Sensitive Document Shredding” event was held on June 12.  Residents and businesses of SECCRA’s service area brought sensitive documents (tax returns, bank statements, credit card receipts, etc.) to be shredded and recycled.  Those who brought documents were able to witness them being destroyed.  In addition, guided tours of the landfill facility were available.

The tally for the amount shredded was 3,300 pounds.  Since this event was so successful, SECCRA plans make it an annual event.
