THANK YOU TO SECCRA MEMBER COMMUNITIES

Over the last three months, SECCRA staff and directors have been traveling to each of the twenty-four municipalities in its service area to ask them to endorse the expansion plans of the SECCRA Community Landfill.  This expansion will ensure reasonably priced and environmentally safe waste disposal for the community well into the next decade. 

The resolutions were sought after a comment by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the state agency reviewing the application to expand the landfill.  The DEP requested that SECCRA demonstrate community support for its expansion plans for the landfill.

These resolutions of support have been passed by the respective township board of supervisors, or borough councils and each has passed its resolution unanimously.
